Republic of Singapore is officially the Singapore which is found in the Southeast Asian island which is located in the Southern tip of Malay Peninsula. It is 135 Km North to the Equator. Island country is consists of 63 Islands. These are separated by Malaysia by the Straits of Johor which is located in the North. Indonesia Riau Islands separated by the Singapore Strait which is in South. Singapore is highly urbanized and only few areas are remaining for rainforest but more lands are used by them for the further development.

Singapore is the Fourth top most financial place in the world and their port is one of the busiest ports among five. Economy mainly depends on the exports and also refining the imported goods. They are especially in the manufacturing the goods which created nearly 26% of GDP in 2005 To Singapore. When it comes to buy the Power Parity Singapore contains the third highest per captia income in the world.

Singapore is the name which is derived from the Malay Language Singapura. Lion City is the customary reference to the Nation. Buddhism is mostly followed in Singapore. Nearly 33% of the people decide themselves as the adherents in the recent census. Christianity is the next religion which is practiced in Singapore.  Then some people followed the Islamic, Taoism and Hinduism.  Nearly 17% of the do not have any religious attachment.The percentage of people those who followed Christians, Taoism and non-religious people was increased and Buddhism was decreased. Other religions are remains stable in Singapore.

Theravada, Mahayana, Vajrayana are the three major traditions of Buddhism in Singapore. Most of the Buddhism in Singapore are the Chinese and are of the Mahayana tradition. Chinese Mahayana is one of the most important Buddhism in Singapore. Thailand's Theravada was one of the growing religions among the people in the previous decade. Soka Gakkai International which is a Japanese Buddhist Organization which is followed by many people in Singapore but Chinese decent are mostly followed this. Tibetan Buddhism is also become very slowly in the country in the recent years.

There are four official languages which are followed in Singapore. They are English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil. English is the common language of the nation. They are the language of Business, Government and they are mode of instructions used in schools. In Singapore the Public bodies are conducted in English language and therefore the documents are written in the form of non-official language such as Malay, Chinese, or in Tamil which has to be translated them into English which has to be accepted for submission.

The Singapore Constitution and all the other laws are written in the English language and they need the translators if any one wishes to address the Singaporean Court in a court which is other than English. But English is considered as the Native tongue for one third of the Singaporeans and some speak Chinese and two third will speak Malay. Nearly 20% of the people in Singapore cannot read or write English.
